Prisoners Dance (Philippines)

Thriller is a viral video featuring the CPDRC Dancing Inmates of a high-security penitentiary . In 2007, the inmates of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison in Cebu , the Philippines , imitated the zombie dance featured in the music video of Michael Jackson 's " Thriller ". The footage, uploaded onto video-sharing website YouTube , became a viral video. The idea behind the dance came from the prison's chief, Byron F. Garcia. Garcia first conceived the idea of exercising as an enjoyable way of keeping the prisoners mentally and physically fit. Music was then added to provide additional motivation. The convicts marched and danced to several songs, including " In the Navy " and " Y.M.C.A. " by the Village People . (Wikipedia) PSY: Gangnam Style Michael Jackson: Thriller

Saw this at the end of the Indian GP on Sky Sports F1 at the weekend. Brilliant animation but surprised I've only come across it for Episode 9! No, or not enough, promotion. Is this a classic case of all the budget went on making it but how many people have seen it? Very difficult to find via McLaren website or find an official YouTube channel. Missed opportunity...

CBS Outdoor: Look for Longer

Really like this idea and execution from CBS outdoor which has intrigued consumers as much as the key b2b audience (agencies/advertisers). Basically anyone who loves a good cryptic picture quiz and appealing to our competitive nature. There has been some good social spread too with facebook and twitter integration worked in to the experience. I've worked through all 75. Bosh! Just watch out for the red herring. http://www.lookforlonger.com/

Paddy Power up to their same old tricks of pushing the boundaries of what is 'acceptable' to the Daily Mail reading, middle-class conservatives. For their presumed target - young(ish) males - they continually hit memorable nails square on their heads. And that's what matters innit. From http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/ an invaluable site for Fantasy Football obsessives.

'That' letter which was the cause of much twitter-chatter on what was otherwise a quiet Tuesday in media-land. My view: no comment. Best left for those involved to sort themselves out, but as an exercise in how a story can be distributed within hours then it was incredible. From: Kieran Allen Sent: 25 September 2012 08:11 To: MEC London UK All Staff Subject: Leaving Hello MEC, It feels quite strange to be writing my leaving speech after 2 1/2 yrs. of loyal service to the company. It’s the longest I have spent at a company and I owe MEC a lot for my training and development. I leave in a position where I can go and further my career in digital if I so wish and for that I pay MEC great tribute. However I leave with a horrible taste in my mouth after my working life for the past 8months has been ruined by Greg Shickle. Background: Joined MEC in May 2010. Soon after I started to receive continuous praise from Kevin Kirby Account Director and Greg Shi
